Arthur II was made hereditary Prince of Engern-Tonna by Oscar I's royal decree
On 1st August it is celebrated the Empire's Day in Karnia-Ruthenia commemorating the 2016 Karno-Ruthenian compromise which effectively created the state. This year of 2020, on the holiday's fourth celebration ever, the Karno-Ruthenian monarch, Emperor-King Oscar I, surprised the Ebenthali monarch, King Arthur II, as he previously said to him he would, by bestowing to him not only the rank of Knight of the Imperial and Royal Military Order of St. George, but also the title of Prince of Engern-Tonna, adressed as Highness and with hereditary right, thus, making of Arthur a highly-ranked Karno-Ruthenian noble.
The honors were granted through the Imperial and Royal Decree Nº 197-2020, written by the Emperor-King himself and dispatched from his private office. The honor touched King Arthur II so much he wrote a personal letter and made a public declaration of thanks; follows the latter:
Long live Karnia-Ruthenia! It is with honor and pride that, as King of Ebenthal, I receive these commendations, and it is with joy and personal esteem that, as a friend to Oscar, I do this. I'm humbled and honored. As usual, I become repetitive in praising Your Imperial and Royal Apostolic Majesty and Karnia-Ruthenia that I know to have praises already as part of the day-to-day of this great nation and its citizens and officials, but I'll do it anyway. Karnia-Ruthenia it is, as of today, with no exaggeration, one of the most respected micronations in the world, one of the greatest Brazilian micronations and a leading model, and thus it is a humongous honor for me to become a Karno-Ruthenian noble and once again part of this mighty nation's pantheon. It is not just about the title that I thank for, but for the friendship we developed over these last three years, for the Oscar's and Karnia-Ruthenia's degree of compromising to the real, fair and good micronationalism, to it's kindness and willingness to help. To represent this, to be so closely related to this, it is a privilege. Please on my on name and in name of all the Ebenthali government and people, accept my most sincere thanks, knows thant I'll be always grateful for all you have done for me, for us, and that you have in the Kingdom of Ebenthal a faithful ally and in me a loyal friend.
