Ebenthal signs the Wrythe Convention

The country joins 92 other micronations in a convention against falsehoods in micronationalism.

Piece of the Wrythe Convention's frontpage. 25 June 2021: Ebenthal joined the Wrythe Convention. The documment authored by the Grand Unified Micronational in 2018 condemns false claims in micronationalism as well as identity theft and sockpuppeting. By signing it, Ebenthal became the 93rd signatory part, aside of micronations such as Flandrensis, Westarctica, Lostisland, Austenasia, and old friends from New Westphalia, Lehmark, Vishwamitra and Gymnasium. The signing of the document was proposed by His Majesty The King to the parliament. The matter was extraordinarily discussed, voted and approved at the House of Councillors in a session held in 20 June presided by the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Wellington Muniz (MP). The session gathered the smallest quorum required for the lower chamber to enter into session, with 7 councilors present. Supposedly, this happened as a result of the winter vacation moment in Ebenthal, with most members of the government having traveled. Approved by 6 votes against 1, the Wrythe Convention was taken to the House of Aristocrats and voted in a session of 9 lords present. The matter was approved with 6 votes to 3. The Wrythe Convention was signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Most Dignified The Duchess of Montana, and by His Majesty The King right a way. The Wrythe Convention, by condemning false claims such that of size, population or history, ressembles partially both the Treaty of Persenburg and the Protocol of Goetha for, for all intents and purposes, inhibiting signatory micronations from having the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations with simulationists (since simulationist projects are based on fabricated history, with not factual claimed area or population). It also highlight the fact that the intermicronational community outside of Brazil has not considered the practice of simulationism as micronationalist for a long time, something for which Ebenthal and other micronations of Brazilian origin (mainly member states of the Conference of Santiago) were criticized and attacked, even by other properly derivative/secessionist micronations, during the split which created the Brazilian sector in early 2020.
