On September 8, national elections for the House of Councillors took place. The election was held online through the Google platform, and its result was made official on the same day and announced to active citizens who participated in the elections immediately.
With the result of the elections, the Worker's Party lost the majority in the House to its former associate, the Moderate Party, which assumed an absolute majority with 8 of the 14 parliamentary seats, while the Worker's Party gained 3 seats, the Conservative Party 2 and the Republican Party , which was banned until March of this year, obtained, for the first time, a seat in parliament for its President, Mr. Alessandro Rosas. As a result, the Moderate Party was called upon by the King to form a government in his name. The Countess de Wittiza (Worker's) handed over her position as Prime Minister to her former Minister of Education and Culture and coalition member, Lord Henrique Sãens, better known as Henri Sãens. Between the 8th and 15th of September, Henri formed his new cabinet. Among other changes, Henri fired Luísa Somme, the Duchess of Montana (independent), from her post as Minister of Foreign Affairs that she has been holding since January 2020 through 3 different party governments, which shocked the political class they had not expected. the change; this change did not happen much due to the King's resistance. The Duchess, however, a member of the House of Aristocrats, was appointed Lady Speaker. The list of the new ministerial cabinet follows:

It should be noted that through these new elections, principalities commonly treated as secondary, without much participation or relevance in the national political scenario, rose to power for the first time. This is the case of Carlenburg, Alvorada and Aldiva, the first two being traditionally liberal principalities, whose representatives in the House of Councillors are all members of the Moderate Party and are therefore in government. New Switzerland and Negromonte, traditionally conservative principalities, ended up having their representation divided between the Conservative Party and the Worker's Party, which ended up mainly reducing the influence of the Prince of New Switzerland, Antonio I, in national politics.
