Pantheon of national orders, medals and decorations will undergo deep modifications to fit the nation's status.
Medal of the Order of Pedro II.
After months of thought and planning, His Majesty King Arthur II came to a definitive conclusion and in agreement with the Government of Ebenthal on the orders and decorations of the country. The following changes were made with the intention of facilitating the process of granting honors and removing from the bosom of the micronation the playful aspects of the past that no longer belong to it. Nevertheless, the culture and historical importance of the honors were respected. The recipients of these honors were also thought out, who will not be spoiled, guarantees the secretariat of the Royal House.
The alterations, creations, extinctions and rearrangements took place through Decree No. 8-2021 issued by His Majesty The King to enter into force on 20 August 2021.
The Order of Pedro II was created as a dynastic order of the Clan Brum and, attached to the National Pantheon of Honours, the highest Ebenthali order equivalent to the Order of the Silver Cat, which, from a dynastic order, it now becomes a national order under the government's chancellorship.
The Order of the Swiss Prince, the oldest Ebenthali order currently constituted, it ceases to be a national order to become a provincial order of the Principality of New Switzerland. On its place as the country's second highest order it goes the Order of the Blue Blood, which remains an royalty-exclusive and dynastic order.
Two new civilian orders are created, one dynastic and one national: the Order of Gillis the Artisan and the Order of the Black Crown, respectively. The Order of Lady Mary, women-exclusive, and the Royal Ebenthali Order, heads of state-exclusive, both national, remain unchanged. And yhe Order of Dagon is finally extinct.
Furthermore, from now on all Ebenthali orders will be single-graded (knights and dames), and all national orders will have a chancellor appointed by the government.
In order not to harm recipients of the Order of Dagon, their appointments to that Order will be reassigned in the form of appointments to other civil orders. The same must happen with the members of the Order of the Swiss Prince, although they do not lose their position in that order, which remains constituted.
