As the Government sought to rebrand itself, a new more moden model of passaport was released and set to be available to the Ebenthali citizens.
On 29 December 2021, at King Arthur II's cotton jubilee, the monarch announced that the Kingdom's public image would undergo an aesthetic rebrand, which began in February of this year 2022.
With no official need, but in consultation, in any case, with the political class and representatives of the people, the sovereign announced a series of changes that range from changing the names of municipalities and provinces to the creation of new models of official documents.
On February 1st, the Ministry of the Interior announced the new model of passport, developed by the King himself, and approved by the Ministry. The new model, replacing the old one adopted in 2020 presents the coat of arms of Ebenthal in its current format adopted in 2021 (as opposed to the old model which, in force until January 2022, presented the old shield). The Conference of Santiago logo, with the god Hermes lifting the armillary sphere, was replaced only by the armillary sphere. The document presents its writing not only in Portuguese and English, which are the official languages of Ebenthal, but also in Hunsrik, a Germanic language of South American origin that is co-official in Nova Switzerland and spoken as a native language by 12% of the population. The document is already in circulation and available, in virtual format, to registered citizens who request it. As with the new ID Card model, the Government has announced that it hopes to be able to distribute physical versions of the document to select citizens.
