The Ministry of the Interior released the new model of Ebenthal's official identity document, available in virtual and physical version.
On December 29, 2021, at King Arthur II's cotton jubilee, the monarch announced that the Kingdom's public image would undergo an aesthetic rebrand, which began in February of this year 2022.
With no official need, but in consultation, in any case, with the political class and representatives of the people, the sovereign announced a series of changes that range from changing the names of municipalities and provinces to the creation of new models of official documents.
On February 1st, the Ministry of the Interior announced the new model of identity card, developed by the King himself, and approved by the Ministry. The new model, replacing the old one adopted in 2020, is of much higher quality; presents, in Portuguese and English, full name, date and place of birth, date of issue and serial number of the document, gender, signature of the citizen and a 3x4 photograph. Unlike the old model, the current one does not have an identification chip, but is textured and made in the form of a plastic card. The new document is already in circulation and available in virtual format for request by registered citizens. The Government also announced that it plans to issue physical versions of the document to distinguished citizens who will be announced eventually.
