Release of the Almanach of Vetrolin

Directory of micronational royalty mentions the Royal House of Ebenthal.

This Friday the 13th, January 2023, in a video published by the Conference of Santiago (CS), His Imperial and Royal Apostolic Majesty The Emperor of Karnia and King of Ruthenia Oscar I, acting as Secretary of Culture of CS, announced the launch from the Almanach of Vetrolin, a directory of micronational royalty and higher nobility, as well as statistical data by country, inspired by the Almanach de Gotha which catalogs the royalty and nobility of internationally recognized nation-states, past and present. The initial idea for creating the Almanach emerged in conversations between representatives of the delegations of the CS member states towards the end of 2020, when a patronage commission was established, chaired by the Karno-Ruthenian Emperor and vice-chaired by His Majesty The King of Ebenthal , Arthur II, with nominal seat in the town of Vetrolin, in the United Provinces of Mauritia. By the end of 2021, the committee, made up of representatives from Ebenthal, Karnia-Ruthenia, Mauritia, Villa Alicia, Quinta Velha and Sildavia, has finalized its initial work. The project was subsequently evaluated by a panel and approved by the Conference Plenary. Its publication was, however, postponed due to more pressing matters. Only in January 2023, shortly after the new Secretary General of CS, the Marquis of Frag, took office, was the first edition of the almanac printed. The original edition is entirely in Portuguese, although there are plans for it to be published in other languages such as English and French.

The CS Secretariat of Culture, as well as the Secretariat of Public Relations, who worked together in the construction of the Almanach, do not consider it a finished work, however, but rather the beginning of what may become, as they intend, the most influential publication ever published on micronational aristocratic genealogy. Currently, the Almanach presents the genealogies of 35 royal and noble houses, the majority coming from micronations of Brazilian origin, but also from micronations of varied origins, such as the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis, the Archduchy of Mimas, the Aerican Empire, the North American Confederation, the Grand Republic of Delvera, the Kingdom of Ruritania, the Principality of Sancratosia, the Newgraviate of Saint-Castin, the Empire of Pavlov, among others. All done in consultation with the governments of the micronations whose dynasties are being featured in the book. The Royal House of Ebenthal, the House of Bruyn (mentioned in the almanac as House of Brum, as it is known in Portuguese), is the second dynasty to appear in the book, which tells a summary of its history of origin and its micronational ascent and details the genealogy of the King of Ebenthal and the Princes and Princesses who are his closest relatives.
